Not sure if this has been posted - Wilkins

Well, hopefully JW chooses BU...

I remember from earlier posts that he would likely announce sometime soon- maybe even this week I believe...

Good luck in your choice JW- hope it is BU!

I to hope JW chooses BU. My only concern is if we were still in the picture, why didn't he come for a game visit. Its not like he had games to play and couldn't fit it in.JW gives us some good news to go along with the DS news today.

"Two weeks, three weeks, something like that," Carroll said when asked about Wilkins' decision for a timeline.
...we've got spring break and I think he'll go to his dad's and they will talk it all through one last time and then make a decision. Fifteen, twenty days from now, I think we'll know."[/SIZE][/B]

Well Southeastern's Spring break is today through the 19th according to their website....So according to his coach we should know soon.

Southeastern CC won their regional (District 11) and will compete in the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas starting tomorrow (March 16-20). SCC plays tomorrow at 10:00 am. John is with the team in Hutchinson, Kansas.
I suspect after SCC is done playing, he'll make a decision.

Ya I saw that on their website, too bad JW didn't get to play or that team would be really good this year.

So are we pretty sure then, that he's completed his coursework to get associates degree and qualify as a player with "redshirt" sophomore status at a D1?

there's been no clear-cut statement in this regard....but he does need to be on track to get his associates degree before enrollment time in Fall of 2010 for him to be able to sign a LOI...but both he and his coach seem to suggest that he is planning on signing in April.

Some rare optimism from some of these posters... where's this been hiding?? ;)

I hope this optimism from everyone pans out... and when I read that they lost, I got excited. Thinking that he'd be making a decision soon... but then there's a CONSOLATION bracket??

Come on Wilkins... WE WANT YOU HERE. Those other teams don't have the faith. You had fans already planning road trips to come see you hours away! Make the right choice. BE BRAVE!:lol:

John Wilkins: I??™m pretty much down to two schools. It??™s very likely that I will either attend Iowa State or Indiana.

NO Mention of Bradley And the word lIKELY to to others:evil:

He's not coming But, But, he said he was comimg or someone said he was What are we going to do This is the end of BU Basketball Where's the cliff, lets jump

This is pretty cut and dry to me Lets move on and forget him, like we did Danny Grainger

YEP:!: It's past time to move on:!:

I see your point but I think the Big East is better. I guess we'll know for sure in about a month;)

Had to give a little ribbing here. Early in the postseason yet, but Big East is 2-3 in the NIT with the Big 12's Texas Tech rolling at Seton Hall in one of the games. The Big East is 1-3 in the NCAA with their one win being an OT win by Nova over a 15 seed.

Syracuse, Nova and WVU may end up carrying the banner for the Big East and do it well, but thus far, I still think the Big 12 was the toughest league.

You may be right Farmer. I'm hoping Wake beats Texas tonight.
