Offers for 2026 and beyond

Any info about possible injury?
no word that I can find
I did not subscribe or watch the game just followed on Live Stats.
I guess we have to wait for a report.

The CSI website gets their full game reports up within MINUTES after the game (odd that it sometimes takes the BU guys a full day or more)
but the report makes no mention of Thornbrue - https://athletics.csi.edu/news/2026/1/22/csi-mens-basketball-puts-up-big-numbers-in-win.aspx

Next game Saturday is a rematch against the former Nationally #1 Ranked Snow College -

Yes, I just got an answer from a source within the program

"Unfortunately, he was injured about 8 minutes in. Got poked in the eye after going up for a layup and left the game and I actually didn't even see him on the bench the rest of the game now that I'm thinking about it. Hopefully he will be good to go for tomorrow night, but we'll see."

Get well quick Ben! Sure wouldn't want anything like what we had with Rienk Mast or Donte Thomas.
We lost Rienk for the entire first year he was at Bradley recovering from a knee injury, and Donte was only
partially healthy his first year after a knee injury late in his senior HS season.

There's one game tonight involving one of the guys BU has offered...
Nazir Allen & Mineral Area play State Fair CC - tip off at 6pm...
These two teams played earlier this season and Mineral Area won by 29 with Nazir Allen getting 17 pts, 13 reb, 7 blocks.

Hey, anyone really bored and shut in with the weather- there is radio coverage if you want to listen
(their listener counter shows just four people currently listening to the game)

edit- update- Mineral Area playing terrible - they trail at half 39-26

update again-- Mineral Area fought back from 20 points down to tie at 65-65 and it's headed to overtime!
Nazir Allen has 20 pts - only a few min left in the game.
(yeah- I know, this game is meaningless for BU fans, but I'm bored & trying to see how Nazir Allen does. He kind of carried
them early in the first half but nobody else did much. Their guards have excelled inthe 2nd half)

Final update- Mineral Area wins 79-74, Nazir Allen came up HUGE in OT with two offensive reb & putbacks
He had 22 pts, including 20 in the 2nd half, announcer credited him as the key player of the game.
Box score should be available soon.

another guy with a 2027 Bradley offer, Brandon Hunter, had a nice game LINK

Just a thought if you can pay these players with University money maybe cut out one asst. coach and use that on one top notch transfer player. Hate to lose a coach but one great transfer player can make a difference in winning championships.

For our needs I like 1 Allen
2 Register or Rivers
4 and 5 Roman or Mendy
These look like proven players and if we could get at least 2 of them they would give us a really good chance to turn this around next season. Allen being the most important because he can play center. We need a center because we really do not have a decent one now.

Nazir Allen is listed on the Mineral Area roster as 6-9, but his own bio page from 2024 said 6-7, 170 lbs.
I can't find a listing for his weight currently but a 6-7 guy that weights 170 just won't last in the MVC.
In 21 games this season he is averaging 14.6 ppg on 53.1% shooting, and 7.2 rpg for Mineral Area College (an hour south of St. Louis)

There's some video of him within the past couple months, and clearly he has bulked up some but still looks to be 190-200lb. (he is #33 in white)
But he is so athletic that I would love to see him at BU. The two current Valley guys he reminds me of are
UIC's Abdul Momoh and InSU's Enel St. Bernard - but he also reminds me of ISU's Anthony Slack, tall lanky guys who mostly hang near the basket.

His current offers are listed as Bradley, La Tech, Southern Utah, FIU, and SEMO.
There's one other mention of an offer from UT-Arlington but that was offered back when he was still in prep school and before he committed to juco.
So among his offers, if the BU offer is still intact, he needs to commit asap. Like a lot of prospects, he's probably hoping his team makes a run in the post-season and he might get some bigger schools offering....

It is important to lock him up now. They just need to know how much money it will take and if we cannot afford it move on to the next player. It is a form of musical chairs and teams and players need to figure this out before somebody else ends up in your seat.

Bradley offers Ryan Hunt
