I'm curious as to why you pick ISU Blue so high? They're really not returning any more than one solid player(who's out for non-con) and don't have much of a class coming in...

I had much trouble picking this because more than any year I believe all teams will have to rely on new players to do a lot...

Its a real crap shoot as I feel any team that is 2-5 can finish in any order and I also feel that 6-10 could go any way...

Along w/ that I think Drake could overachieve to as high as 2 or go as low as 7.

**I also have a spreadsheet on this if anyone would like to know where we stand on voting...almost like a media poll**

Pretty impressive stuff, SaintLou. I'm not trying to volunteer your services in organizing this, but is there any chance we could start a weekly MVC "power poll" once the season starts? I think it'd be interesting to get everyone else's take on the rest of the league throughout the year.

Not really a concrete reason. Just have a feeling that they'll have a decent year. If they come out hot, like they have in the past, they will fizzle by conference time...however, I think if they can stay healthy and eak their way through their noncon by the time the team is complete they may just be able to pull a season together.

I also think SIU and DU will not perform anywhere near where they have recently...EU, WSU, UNI will be stuck at the bottom but could really end up anywhere from 6-10.

I didn't even notice until now that I'd left MSU out of my post. (WHOOPS) But I lump them in with 6-10 crowd probably around 7th.

This is very interesting to say the least. I have to think about this before voting. 1 part of me wants and really beleives BU to be the best team this year and that InSt and EU could be real sleepers. (maybe InSt is just because I think they have an outstanding young coach in the same mold as his mentor-his teams always come prepared to compete). The one thing that keeps popping up in my mind is the fact that the Valley except for about 3 teams are going to be in every game played and those 3 bottom teams (WSU, NIU, & MSt-not especially in that order) could very well surprise some people just like EU did last year. This will again hurt the Valley's chances of getting more the 1 or 2 teams into the dance.
Basketball must, finally, be coming to forefront as we are getting some real good posts going now and yes I will post my order of finish but it might have to wait until after next Wednesday night. Then I hope to have a better idea of where BU is at as a team.
By the way TW may be only the 3rd best player on the team this year from some things I have heard-time will tell because if he is only the 3rd best player then we better be dancing in March or he had a bad year-one or the other

That being said, I agreed on a great idea for a BradleyFans.com MVC Power Poll...

What we will most likely do is go off the preseason poll and update it once a week w/ voting on Mondays and we can even add little pieces to help our voters if need be...
