TAS Bracketology 2009

Yeah this is painful to watch. They really don't like CU getting in....they actually get disgusted.

It's funny how they openly disregard a loss to a low major such as Morgan St. for the BCS teams, but not for CU.

At least Lunardi is one of the few over there who look at these brackets with an objective mind.

Funny though that Digger is okay with about six mid-major at-large bids this year.

Well, if Creighton gets in, they would most like be the sixth one. So what's he complaining about?!

I'm watching this too. This is hysterical! And they don't believe the Big Ten deserves so many teams because they play.......GASP.....DEFENSE!

That is insulting! Since win did the best become restricted to only those that the general public would like watching more because of their offense? Ridiculous!

On a related note, as a Wisconsinite when I'm not at Bradley, I can't stand the way Digger pronounces Wisconsin. He makes it sound like West Consin. There is no East Consin, Digger.

Apparently style of play determines how worthy a team you are. And that conference affiliation matters for everything even though the committee says it matters for nothing.

Once again, Bilas was the only non-***** when talking about the Big 10. Somebody needs to just destroy these guys - I can't believe we have 2 hours of this crap tonight.

Op well....Digger just said that he think there should only be 4 mids and 30 majors for the remaining 34 lol

What a mess of contradictions.

-Penn State should get in over Creighton according to Digger, but 10 minutes later the Big 10 shouldn't get that many teams in because they suck.
-In the course of five minutes, the mids go from six bids to four in Digger's mind.

Do these guys have a memory of more than five minutes as far as what they say?

Oh my.... now Digger wants Auburn in, after initially taking two teams out and only putting one in.

Here is an interesting discussion--
http://collegebasketball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=923959

After all, a Penn State-Arizona matchup would grab a lot more attention than a Morehead State-Alabama State showdown. And it would give every conference tournament champion its deserving taste of the spotlight

basically they suggest making the play-in game between schools like Arizona vs. Penn State, who are bordeline for the NCAA, so at least it will be a game that Americans are interested to watch on the Tuesday before the rest of the NCAA games begin.

Of course that means the low-level conference champs who otherwise would play in the play-in game would be pushed into the regular field, and that would eliminate a couple more at-large spots for deserving midmajors!

Is he talking a quota? Or does he just think the majors are so strong this year that only 4 non-majors are worthy?

He was saying usually mid's get 6 but this year he think they will only get 4 and only deserve 4...but you could tell he thinks none of them should be in

Yeah, well it seems he changed his mind over the course of 20 minutes!

If he had his way though, he would probably get rid of the auto bids in the non-BCS conferences, and take only ten bids if that!

Yeah, he said they usually get 6 in and he's usually okay with that. But then 20 minutes later he turns around and says only 4 deserve to make it!

I think most likely he says what he says thinking no one will notice his contradictions. I beg to differ with him though because I certainly notice them!

MID MAJORS PLAYING EACH OTHER!!!11 OMG CONSPIRACY THEORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this happened in the actual bracket, everyone would slam the committee. But guess what - because of proceduring, I had no choice but to create these matchups. Am I biased towards BCS schools? ;)

Look at the quality of teams available. Wow.

Have those teams already said they would play in that tournament?

I think the hardest part would be to get some teams to "lower" themselves to play in the CI tourney
