Thank you Braves

Good topic...if I post something on my twitter account....I would expect that it would be seen (its public). And if called out on it I would address it. My twitter account is the same as here...mrcoachdude...but if I had a different account name on Twitter and no one knew it was me? I doubt I would address it, maybe I would....

I thought without Will playing last night, we get beat badly...that was my opinion...sorry

NO CREDIT WC for BU comeback & win vs the Deadbirds,

You picked ISUR in the MVC Pickem Contest
Az I agree I picked the Deadbirds on your pick-em contest but we have 3 down here in The Villages and we pick the winners for a beer and I picked the Braves on B12's pick em. Meant to pick the Braves on yours but goofed .20 lashes with a wet noodle for me. Go Braves great win last night.

I'm requesting a do-over for the pick'em contest. Don't I get a mulligan for this week? 0-3 so far...I'll gladly take the BU win, and even the ISUB win, but UNI allowing back-to-back 3's in the final minute of regulation to force OT really stung...

Why would anyone tweet something that they dont want to be held accountable for? For that matter why would someone post something here that they dont want to be held accountable for? If you say something, mean it. If you mean something, be willing to back it up.

rs....I really hated the last few months of that season and I heard many (yes many fans) that were rooting against JL and shouting "Fire Les!" at games...it was disgusting....

What a game to miss :( .....Glad I recorded it!

How does chanting "fire Les" mean that people wanted the team to lose? All that means is people were fed up with losing not that they wanted to lose more.

Slightly off topic but you guys do realize how some of your actions here (post deletions, labeling good fans as anti-les, etc.) could actually have made JL a more polarizing figure than he would have been otherwise? This still holds true IMO

I don't know how he did it, but it was great coaching...TP and WE are so foul-prone it's unbelievable.
Don't forget about SS! Look at the Production Per 40 thread for further proof of our foul-prone bigs.

We must have worked a lot in breaking the press since the Wichita game because we handled it beautifully in the 2nd half, which led to some easier scores. Good, crisp passes.
I loved the adjustment made by taking WL off the ball and had two other players bringing the ball up the court with WL just past half-court ready to take full advantage of the open floor if it was there.

There are people who go to a Bradley board who hate Bradley? Why would anyone go to a message board that they have negative feelings about? It makes no sense. It is logical that people would go to a message board that they enjoy, but I don't understand going somewhere that you don't. Obviously gerry you enjoy this board, or you wouldn't be here.

I don't know....I admit to visiting the isu board last night just to check in on the meltdown down the road. :D

I enjoyed what I saw.

There team has under performed all season which is more then likely do to the players not doing what they are told to do by the coach, obviously Hill was told to control himself before and he didn"t so Mueller was teaching him a lesson, Hill should apologize to his team for being stupid and hurting their chances as kudos to Mueller for having rules and sticking to them, its called coaching(teaching) and he proved he is in charge.

Again.....underperformed in what way? They were an average team last season, have a first-time head coach, and lost their starting point guard.

We won a game between two very average, at best, basketball teams.

This is just as ridiculous as the people that say you are rooting against Bradley. For the last time, people didnt hate Jim Les. Many have never met the man. You were a friend of his so you always did and always will take criticism of him as hatred. If anything your over the top attitude on this subject has driven people to hate the name Jim Les but not the man himself. Please tell me a part of you understands this.

I still believe at least one person stated a couple years ago that he hoped Bradley would lose so there would be no reason to keep JL around. It's the same person that just last season said we don't have ANY D-1 players on the roster.

Well, the announcers last night on the MVC network were noting that ISU did not get the ball into Carmichael as much in the second half. Don't know if that had more to do with Muller's coaching or Carmichael passing up shots too much. But I would like to think Bradley had a lot to do with that! :D

I think Muller had a lot to do with that. It seemed one staff/team was able to adjust MUCH better than the other. :D

Again, did people dislike Jim Les or just want a new coach?

Almost every coach comes to an end. Sometimes it is just time. I loved Coach Mo, but it was time. Same with Jimmy.

Does it really matter? I can't even imagine EVER wanting Bradley to lose a basketball game.

Well, a lot of national and local pundits, and many posters here had Illinois State as the second place team in the preseason polls due to all the players coming back. If this is an average team, they are going to lose a lot of players to graduation next year. I think the talent is not the problem there. There is a chemistry issue and an inexperienced head coach. A coach that I think has the potential to be very good, but he needed to get his feet wet this year. Unfortunately that may have hurt their chances for any meaningful postseason this year.

Thank you shaunguth! I agree that there was one or two, let's just say misguided posters rooting for this team to lose, which is about as low as you can go. But I would think well over 95% of the people on here wanted/wants Bradley to win no matter who was/is/or will be coaching this team.

I think it's equal parts first-time head coach and an average team losing their starting point guard.

Obviously losing their PG had more of an effect that a lot of people thought, despite the problems Bradley has been having with that same situation.

You aren't old enough to be hanging out in the Villages, are you lefty?

Not really but I'm catching up:)...just visiting a friend to play pickle ball but I see why so many retirees would go down there.......good grief did I just say that? I must be getting close:-o
