Validation that St Louis is going to be awesome

BU's great win over nationally ranked UNI validates what many of us have said all year long on this board: St Louis is going to be totally up for grabs. I do, however, feel that seeding is going to be important. Ok, that's pretty obvious....but we don't want Wichita or UNI in the first round!

Any guesses on where we'll be, seed-wise?

On an unrelated note....anyone else want to see 6 or 7 mns a game for Jake Eastman? I know minutes are tough to come by with so many guards....
 
you know i hope we play illinois state the first game. despite losing to those jokers twice and still think we are better than them and wont lose to them three times in one season.
 
We're squarely in the 4-5 game right now. With ISU winning at Creighton today and the fact they have 2 of 3 at home despite having to go to UNI, they should be safe at the 3.

In the event they fall into a tie with CU and or BU they clinch the 3 by having swept both.

If for some reason ISU loses out, they could fall into the 4-5 game, but that's doubtful.

BU will still have opportunities to move into the 4 seed.

Indiana State has an outside but not unrealistic shot to catch Bradley from behind, so a win in Terre Haute is imperative.
 
I'm very surprised at Indy St. lately. They're really depleted and it was some of their better players who got hurt, need to win that game.
 
MSU is the real darkhorse. I'm discounting them right now, simply because they have 3 league road games remaining and it will be tough for them to stay where they are.

They are at Wichita tomorrow, so if MSU sneaks one there the picture stays very muddied. But I wouldn't want to be the team that has to play at the team that just lost to Evansville.
 
We want no part of ISU first round...doesn't matter if they would have to go for the 3-peat...they would get it. We match up well with UNI because although they still kill us on the glass, they're not very quick and take a long time to run their offense. Anyone notice how we weren't gassed at the end? That's because they're not as quick as ISU. Giv eme CU or MSU and I'll take my chances in the 235 usual spot.

I agree, if there is 1 team that we do not match up well with it is ISU! They have 2 many bigs to throw at us and we just cant match up, no matter who we play down there!
 
Big win for BU especially after the ISU debacle. Puts us in a position to clinch no worse than 6th with a win at ISU Blue on Tuesday. I just wish we weren't so Jeckyl and Hyde. Depending on what happens from here we could be facing ISU in the 3/6 game or Creighton in the 4/5. Neither game will be easy but I think we can beat either one of them. It is a big if but if we play up to our potential I look forward to running on the court as well. It's been way too long for us not to win the Mo Valley tournament. This is the most wide open tournament I can remember. It's there for the taking. Why not BU.
 
Personally, I would be happy for the 4/5 and would much rather draw Creighton than ISU...


Lets leave ISU and Wichita to a knock down, drag out on Sat. in the 2/3 (if they both get there).


I also like the high draw better as I think if we could get by the Jays, we matchup so much better against either ISU or Wichita...then I would take my chances on Sunday.


We win the last 2 of 3 and I think thats where we're headed...it starts tomorrow night!

We don't match up with isu at all. They're bigs will work our bigs all game long, and our guards high enough above isu's guards to make up the difference. No way isu gets passed wsu or uni in the semi's. So if they're on the opposite side of the bracket than us I think we can beat any other team in the tourney.
 
We want no part of ISU in St. Louis (hopefully they'll be the 3 on the other side), and we definitely want to be on UNI's side of the bracket as we match up well with them. Ideally, I'll take anyone else besides ISU over CU in the 4/5 game, Drake, MSU, ISU Blue, anyone of those would be great (much like SIU last year).
