Wait till next year.....

The next 3 years we should be good but one area of concern is the 4 and 5 spot as T.Brown has not gotten many minutes for quite awhile and we will have 0 experience in the post position. T.Wilson will be greatly missed .

I agree.... we need a bruiser of some kind. Is it even possible to get a Juco big that isn't average or below average? Seems like what the doctor is ordering. The big programs get the juco bigs that are worth anything... Be great if we could pull off a steal.

I find it frustrating that so many fans throw their hands up in defeat after any particular loss. Maybe if you were raised by Cardinals fans (like I was) you would have more resolve, but there's still quite a bit of season left to play. We knew this team was young, we knew there were a lot of injuries, so we should expect some lumps and frustrations and close losses.. But the killer instinct can come out of no where when a team finally matures, and if that comes this season, we have a chance at a run into the NIT or even NCAA (an outside chance, since there's only one possible way we make it). You have every right to criticize and critique Les and the players, you can be realistic about postseason chances, but it's pretty much obnoxious to throw up the white flag and pray for next year when a particular day doesn't go our way. Man up and support the guys until the season is over.

ditto! great post......especially the cardinals part :)

I'm a cardinals fan and I am done being positive. I've jinxed us since going positive. Also as a cardinals fan I probably should continue to not care about sports for the baseball season as well.:-o That will be a long season.

Are you sure your not a cub fan in disguise or is this your way of helping both Braves & Cards win/

I've jinxed the braves...and now I hope they will start winning. The cardinals are just gonna suck....so it'll be good not to get into the season with them...that'll just be too hard to take

I'm pretty superstitious.

Agree...Great post except for the Cardinals part!;-)

I enjoy every game I go to...the kids give 100% and of course, it is MY school and I am proud to be a fan and support them anywhere and everywhere.
They DON'T need to "be there" and produce for me...
it's the other way around, and I need to "be there" and produce for them.......
and I am thankful that nearly 10,000 other fans seem to think so as well, every game!

I am NOT waiting for next year...

Great post! Well said! You'd think all BU Alums would feel the same.......

The only issue I have is that the killer instinct is running out of time to set in. It's not there yet as demonstrated by the last two losses. Those were two games that a team with a legit shot at winning the conf. tourney would pull off.

I'm not saying that they won't win the tourney or that I don't want them to win the tourney. I'm just saying that they're not quite there yet.

On the topic of the thread, I really think that 2010-2011 will be even better.

That's tickets sold, not people in the stands. If we had 10,000 last game then Carver Arena must hold 18,000...

There's always hope...it just looks like 4th or 5th is a bit more realistic result to expect at this point. If we can somehow win the next two road games, we would have played ourselves back into the picture for second or third...We'll see...
ER3 I think its beginning to look like 4th or 5th. Can't lose at home. At the time Da Coach posted we were 1/2 game out of second. Due to the results last night we are now 1 game from second but the scarey part is just 2 games from Thur. in St. L. We need Sat night bad and it is a game we can win but we must shoot the ball better and defend for 40 minutes not 36 like the other night. One other observation, we are back to that stupid weave again and I would much prefer to see the ball go inside once every possision and kicked back out when we have nothing inside. This slow down ball is alright when you win but, isn't that what got MO fired. I'm certainly not saying Jimmy needs to go.He is doing a great job recruiting but I don't get waiting to force up a shot in the last 3-4 seconds of the shot clock, when you pass a shot up at the 15-20 time frame. We seem hesitant to take a good shot when we have one because we are not under 10 seconds. Oh well maybe can get one in Des Moines.Go Braves

Thank you. Great post!

I'm getting REAL tired of some of the pessimism around here. And not because of how we lost the other night. That was disappointing. But I'm talking about how some here are writing off the season already. Please! That's not what the players and coaches need to be hearing right now with so much of the season left.

The NIT is still within reach, and the NCAA's are not out of the question either. Let's support the team when they need the support the most.
