Walk-on

I have no idea what walk-on you might be talking about who won a state basketball title.
The one I am thinking of, his school won a 2nd place trophy in basketball, but they did win the 1st place trophy in baseball.

If anyone pays attention...that would be a give away clue....I think he would be a great walk-on if its true.....no one would dare play a zone vs BU and if they play man..bring in the slashers.....and we are talking about a class young man..

Photoshop anyone?

Oh I thought you guys were talking about Tyler Anderson leaving Augustana to come walk on for Dewey...Is that pulic yet. Heck If 'd have known it was basketball I'd have told you that Thornton is planning on walking on at BU too...its in the paper this AM that he is leaving UWM

Yes, the PJ Star does report on the fact that Ryan has received his release and will transfer to a school closer to home.
I would love to see him at Bu but even if his decision is to go to another school such as EIU or a D-II, I think he can be a good college ball player.

i believe that his Grandfather also played some college basketball as well. Not 100% sure on that though.

His Grandfather played at Western back when they were pretty good. They finished second in the national NAIA tourney in Kansas City in 1954.

I think he could help Dewey, more than Jimmy!

Hey Grassman...how'd I do while you were gone

WOW!
However, looks like EVERYTHING, I told you in Jan-feb, would happen did.
Looks like you did a good job of facilitating the changes. Great job, Dog!
I just do not like this many Juco's, but-----------------.

So does that mean we're going to the Elite 8????

It's just me. I do not believe you can build a succesful program on the backs of Juco's. Short term yes, long term ???????????
I think it gives your program a lack of credibility.

Over half of our roster is of the 4 year variety. That number will get even larger next year. I'm not concerned. Credibility is built in winning on a consistent basis. We're in the process of doing that.

But regarding JUCOs, if the kids graduate, and rules aren't broken in bringing them and keeping them at BU, what difference does it make where they come from?

IMO... if Coach Les had the opportunity, I bet he would have filled Fears and DW's spots with 4 yr players... but with the limited time remaining, he did the best he could. I suspect in the future, Coach Les will fill more spots with 4 year players.
