Where to go to watch BU on Insight

Ok so for those of us not lucky enough to have Insight cable, I need some suggestions thrown out for everyone's favorite place in the area to go do some serious BU watching during these upcoming critical road games. This has been a concern of mine ever since I heard about the announcement of the new TV deal, and you could really help set my mind at ease. So please tell us what your favorite place is and why. Thanks.

Buffalo Wild Wings (Peoria and East Peoria) probably may have more TV's than most places, and they don't hassle you if you stay for a long time just to watch the entire game.

You could try the Bradley Student Center lounge, right near the Outtakes. I'm not sure if it has a remote in the lounge but theres a larger TV with about 4 short sofas in a viewing area. Thats a last resort probably though.

I have insight in Lafayette, where I currently live and I'll have it when I move to Springfield in the near future. Do you think I can catch the game in either of those locations? What channel is it on?

Does not BWW have Direct TV, so that they can pick up a multitude of sporing events, rather than INSIGHT? I know this is the case with Khouri's.
I believe most Sports bars would have Direct TV rather than cable.

Help with Finding the game

Help with Finding the game

So I was getting a little excited about the game last night and went out to my TIVO to see if it had picked up the game. I love TIVO because it is smart enough if you search by 2 words together like "Bradley" and "Basketball" it finds all games (and the Jim Les show) without me having to manually program it.

However, it looks like insight has not updated the chanel description of when the game is going to be on..... can someone who doesn't use TIVO maybe go out and look at the channel description during the BU vs UIC game and see what it says? ALso, maybe I was looking at the wrong chanel.....what chanel will it be on?

Thanks all!

All we know is that it will be on Channel 44 in Peoria. You should call the Insight office where you live and first let them know you want them to carry the game, since it should be available to them. Then ask them what channel it would be on in your area.

Does not BWW have Direct TV

You may be right, I don't know whether they would not be able to get Insight. I would think they would make arrangements to carry the Bradley games, though.

I believe BWW has both insight and DirecTv, but you may want to call to confirm.

I am almost positive Gorman's does not have insight cable, double check to be sure...

Buffalo Wild Wings...

Buffalo Wild Wings...

A friend of mine that frequents BWW wayyy too often believes that they have both DirecTV and cable, due to the fact that a storm can knock out the DirecTV from time to time. He's noted that sometimes the same game will be on two different TVs, one DirecTV and one cable, and the cable feed is 5 or 6 seconds ahead of the DirecTV feed (ruining the suspense for those watching the set with DirecTV!). So, I think you're safe with Buffalo Wild Wings, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I will post on here if I find out for sure.

I think the delay that happens at BWW during some games is between the HD feed and the standard feed...not 100% sure on that though

Do we know for sure whether the Insight games will be available through BuBraves.tv? I thought someone posted previously that they would be, but last time I checked they were not listed on the schedule posted on the website.

I have received word from the people in the athletic department that any game televised will also be available on BUBraves.tv except the ESPN games and the games covered by the MVC-TV network.

Live in Peoria Work in Chillicothe.

Working at a bar in Chillicothe blows because all cable goes through Mediacom. They are behind the times. Comcast plus (channel 44) is not available which is going to drive me crazy. Talking to a buddy who works for Mediacrap, I made it very clear that someone is going to get hurt if Bradley is not somehow obtained.

Great. Thanks Coach. Can't wait to watch on Saturday.

Thanks for everyone's input. I now see that staurday's game is listed on BUBRAVES TV as having a video feed. This is great. I wonder if it is going to be the same feed as Insight, or our own version.

Also last season I subscribed to MVC TV and was able to watch assorted games throughout the valley. Did anyone else do this as well?

What is this MVC-TV network? Another online stream? A cable channel? A reseller....??
