Who needs to have his game improve the most this summer

I think Eddren McCain needs to shoot the basketball and get some confidence in his shot over the summer.

That part of his game must improve significantly over the summer. He gets big minutes but has hurt us this season by not shooting the ball, he needs to make the defense play him honestly.

Chris Roberts' 3 point shot
if he's going to play the 3 he needs to have a 3

Taylor Brown, strength/defense
He's gotta put on some pounds if he's gonna play the 4

EM's 3 is a good call.
If he can hit a 3, that's 3 great guards w/ a great shot (SM, EM, and AW)...that's pretty intimidating

DN's Defense.
He's pretty solid on offense, but i'd like to see him and Dodie become best friends

Everybody needs to improve ;
McCain needs to shoot better
Norris needs to work on getting his shot off quicker
Roberts improve on handling the ball on his drives
Warren on his toughness
Maniscalco on his defense
Singh on his post moves
Brown on his defense
Dunson on his shot
Thompson on his work ethic
Egolf on his post play
Prosser and Milos
on adjusting to the more physical play of d-1 basketball

there you go.....couldn't agree more

As a team I think we need to shoot the ball a lot better this year. Our free throw shooting improved, and I think with Warren back he not only brings his shooting but everyone else's improves. But I think that the difference between us and the teams that finished ahead of us was shooting.

Everybody needs to improve including the coaching! With our record I'd say we have plenty of places where we could get better. One is interior passing and the ability of our guys to pull up and hit mid-range jumpers. We need to adjust to the MVC refs and they call charging so much that our guys need to learn to pull up and hit it.

next season

This team needs to improve in a lot of areas or we will be right where we are this year!!
mediocre at best can not place better than 4th...uni and isu and creighton all return alot
of key players next year,so we better figure out how to become winners at home and on the road...toughness, shooting, defense, all need to improve in a hurry or it is 4th again

Agreed Toyota... Though to nitpick a little, what exactly is the "lot" that ISU is bringing back? Oguchi, Sampay, and Phillips will all graduate. That's three pretty big players minute-wise.

Correction- Phillips is just a junior, he is eligible to return, along with Dinma Odiakosa, and Osiris Eldridge. After that they don't have much experience.
Holloway is a senior, and will be gone, along with Oguchi, Sampay, and Brandon Holtz.

Will Osiris be coming back or do you believe he will test the NBA waters? He did show case his talents in the finals.

I think his game is made more for the pros then college. He can shoot, proved he can play D against a strong guy and is extremely fast. The class coming out this year looks fairly weak and it is a good year to consider your options.

There's no way he comes out early. I don't see him getting drafted, even after next year.

There was a story printed about an NBA scout at the game Sunday who said Osiris is a certain pro.--

ISU had a pretty good player a few years ago, Rico Hill who gave up his senior year and was drafted in the 2nd round, but never stuck in the NBA.

Here is one NBA evaluation site that has Eldridge as the #45 junior in the NCAA-

Until the Braves learn to block out they are doomed to mediocrity on defense.
Until the Braves develope an inside presence they are doomed to mediocrity of offense.

I was really glad to see their free-throw shooting improve so much over the course of the season. I think shooting, in general, needs to improve.

As far as returning contributors, I think EM needs to improve his confidence in his shot more. He has a nice jumper, and proved in HS he can score in bunches. If defenses have to guard him more aggressively, it creates more opportunities for everybody else.

Three point shooting and overall shooting will improve next year with the return of Andrew Warren. I'll make an early prediction that AW will be the top 3-point shooter in the league next year!

And just the addition of another great shooter will help every other player on the floor. I expect all the returning guards' percentages to go up.
We will also see big men next year who will be able to step out and hit the three.
