An endorsement for a new AD

Dennis is a great guy, and would be a good candidate. But the people selecting the new AD won't have any more reason to consider him as anyone else.

Dennis left Bradley for Gonzaga almost 3 years ago, well before the new president took over at Bradley.

Dick Versace

Dick Versace is a friend of mine and he and I were very close when he was at BU. He would make a wonderful AD for Bradley and I would support him 100%. He is a leader, has the background in basketball, great contacts, is a very capable manager, is super with coaches, is great in PR and promotions, and would be a dynamite fund raiser. However, there are 2 or 3 good reasons why this isn't going to happen.
First, Dick is 69 years old and I am not sure he wants to come out of retirement at this stage in his life.
Secondly, Dick is 100% his own man and would insist on running the Athletics Dept. his way. His tolerance for much interference or micromanagement from the Pres. would be very low.
Having Dick as the new AD is a super idea but, unfortunately, it simply won't happen.
