Race Kowaczyk highlights from yesterday
He is #24 in white

LINK
Happy to be getting him but we really need at least 2 inside players and a wing. Our 2highly touted freshman players rarely play so not sure he will get many minutes next season. This next season needs to be the turning point as far as finding better recruits because our fan base is getting restless.

We will lose at minimum - four of our top 8 scorers (Alex, AJ, Meta, Corey), but there's 1 oe 2 more of the top 8
who also might likely not be here. If our two freshmen (Zobrist & Richardson) want to put in the work, they
could make the leap and be key players. Of the guys we have coming in (Williams, Thornbrue, Race) - none
are the kind of players we need to fully replace Alex, AJ and possibly DB.

Btw
Finally got stats on Mineral Area vs Moberly from Saturday
Nazir Allen had 18 pts

Yeah- kind of embarrassing that both teams showed up with their home white jerseys

anyway- here's a story on last night's win for St John's- https://sjjtitans.com/news/2026/2/12/basketball-chsl-championship-game-information.aspx

According to one source- the team St John's beat last night, St. Mary's, is the #2 ranked small private school in Michigan
(click on icon below)

Meanwhile- one of Bradley's other top recruiting targets,
Sean Register, Jr, was named the National Player of the Week by NJCAA. -- For the 2nd consecutive week!
(Bradley landed the Juco Player of the Year back in 2021 (Leons) so maybe we can get a couple of these top ranked juco guys)

Register is the player I want....his #'s are always high every game...Will be a difference maker but afraid some big $$$$ school will scoop him up

yeah- but aiming high is prob better than scraping the bottom of the barrel-

LOL...I recall how giddy Dave Reynolds and Kirk Wessler were over Geno's recruiting classes - especially touting Chris Blake
as one of Geno's sure stars- a guy who averaged 5 ppg in juco then came to BU and couldn't make a layup...
and averaged about 1 ppg. Same with Anthony Fields (1 ppg), Jermaine Morgan (2 ppg), etc..
So at least we're targeting the cream of the crop.

You can't always go by numbers alone. I'll give my totally unbiased opinion of Sean Register after watching a couple of his games.
He is listed at 6'7", and might be closer to 6'6"and he doesn't do a lot of ball handling. One thing that impressed me was how little defense the teams in their league play. Eastern Florida averages 92 points per game, and the other teams in the conference nearly all average between mid-80's to low 90's. So scoring numbers are a little inflated. Register's scoring (25.0 ppg) will be a lot less at D1, as will his rebounding (8.7 rpg). He is not the physical rebounder Bradley needs, but hopefully Thornbrue and Williams will contribute there. Bradley loses their top 2 rebounders and 4 of their top 6 from a team that is one of the worst rebounding teams in the MVC.
But he is a versatile player who gets most of his points in the lane. He has only made 20 three pointers in 25 games (only 14% of his shots). And from what I saw, Register does not look real accomplished as a defender. But I like that he is still just a true freshman who has 3 more years of eligibility to develop and adjust to D1, and is an athletic kid who can really score and whose defense will improve with good coaching.

I agree with you on Register Da Coach. I think Timo is better than Register but I really like our other two juco recruits, especially Williams.

Ben Thornbrue with 11 pts, 5 rebounds in a tough 78-76 road win to go 24-2

Thornbrue btw- has two teammates who might be worth a look by our coaching staff - perhaps they already have...

Cooper Kesler- a 6-2 redshirt freshman who would have 3 years left at DI, 14 ppg on 51% shootingm 44% from 3-pt (68-154), 81% on FTs,
...also 4.5 rpg, 2 asst, 1 steal

Ace Reiser- a 6-0 freshman qualifier, 3 years left, 14 ppg, 49% shootingm 44.5% from 3-pt, 76% on FTs, 5.4 reb, 4.5 asst, 3 steals (66 on the season

hard to assess juco kids since the vast majority of opponents they play are NOT DI caliber players.

I dunno - of all the recruits I've seen in highlights, Mendy is a guy who could make a diff. for BU. Love his athleticism and hops...some nice post moves too...solid FT shooter (80%).

Example (and I have brought this name up before) local kid 6-9 Hank Alvey at Lehigh. He has two years left, is averaging
13.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 61% FG shooting - which would place him 11th in scoring, 2nd in rebounding, and 5th in FG5 in the MVC.
Based on evidence available, he's probably getting NIL in the range of UNDER $1000! I hafta think he'd consider portalling to BU.
I've heard Alvey may be attracting some decent attention. If Bradley chases him, it might be an investment. Not sure what the NIL/Rev share $$$ look like for Bradley but some of the figures I have heard tossed around sound like he won't be a bargin. That said, maybe he wants to be close to home. IF he does get PAID or go bigger, good for him, he has earned it. Take it for what it is worth, all rumor and corner of the gym/concession stand line whispers.
