that article seems to indicate that he enrolled in school there in Atlanta but then when it got too expensive he went and enrolled in Houston...
So- like Taylor Brown - his clock would have started at that point by enrolling for college level courses, even if he did NOT play basketball, then he spent a full year in North Dakota at juco.
So he may have 3 years of eligibility left but he likely has no redshirt year remaining.
But he does appear to be an athletic kid tho obviously inexperienced with only a couple years of well organized ball - so gotta figure he might be a redshirt candidate but maybe doesn't have that redshirt year available to him. I think this signals exactly how slim the pickings are at this point and although any kid might surprise and be a game changer - probably what we'll see are fairly obscure commits. Even the ISU commit seems odd - as in why would a 6-4 shooting guard - one of the top players in juco ball, who some have labelled the best juco 3-point shooter in the nation have so few offers at this late stage? And with two dozen DI programs in his own state and many more in nearby states - that he doesn't appear to have a single DI offer from any school within 1,000 miles.
also, this means someone will have to be leaving because they didn't have any open scholarships before landing this guy
