Your wrong. Period. End of Discussion.

Go look up my record of opinion on Daniel Ruffin. BB, you have solid basketball insight, but do not tell me what I would or would not think. I would not have liked OE. And DCooksey asked the last time we had someone who approached OE's milestones I consider an NBA lottery pick to be a higher milestone. I'll decide whats relevant in my posts.

Sorry if I'm coming off aggressive but I'm tired of being told my thoughts.

Agree to disagree. :D

Since you brought up the comparison, Osiris can only hope to have a fraction of the successful career that Anthony Parker had.
Parker was POY in the MVC as a junior, and was preseason POY his senior year, and would easily have won the award again if he had not broken his foot.
Parker also lead Bradley to NCAA as a junior, and the NIT as a senior. His 1st round NBA draft pick, and multiple Player of the Year awards in the Euroleague, and MVP of the Euroleague Final Four, as well as his long pro and NBA careers have earned him many millions of dollars. I think he'll add an NBA title to his credentials this year, too.

As far as players since AP, I would say that Darren Brooks' back to back Player of the Year awards, All-Defensive team awards, as well as his multiple NCAA appearances is far more impressive than the unfulfilled hype of OE's career.
I'm not the one ripping on Parker. He was an excellent player in college and has had a very good pro career. I was merely asking a question about the last BU player that approached the accomplishments of OE in terms of his MVC awards etc.

If it goes back to Parker then great. Just means it's been a while since BU has had a player accomplish as much as OE has in terms of Valley performance. That's all I was saying.

But......this is your board and for the most part OE is hated here. I get it. It's cool. With that in mind of all the players JL has missed on I'm sure the fact that he missed on OE pleases most everyone on this forum given their thoughts on how awful OE has been in Normal.

I would not have liked OE.
With that said I am very glad for your sake BU was 3rd or 4th on his list of schools after ISU. I'd hate to know what type of hatred you would have bestowed upon OE had he chosen to attend BU.

Hey man, sorry I don't like your player, I don't mean it personal and it has far less to do with ILSU than I'd ever get you to believe. There are many I would feel the same about if they were given the same accolades as OE (P'Allen is a good example, I'll work on others).

Yeah! Can you imagine OE and TB on the same team? It would be twitter wars to the extreme. Poor Les would not only be gray but he'd also be going bald from pulling his hair out.

OK LMAO and imagine P'Stinnet on the team! I personally like OE's game and would enjoy it a heck of a lot more if he was not a Redbird and even more if he was a Brave.

Im an ISU fan and forget the comparisons. Parker, Korver, and anyone else have all been good players. Have I ever liked them NO. For anyone to claim Osiris is selfish and arrogant is ignorant. He is a college kid who is pretty good at basketball and is enjoying his time. Some of you need a better grasp of reality. Everyone thinks all the good kids are in their program. Many of you bashed Egleseder for getting suspended for three games. How many games did TB end up missing? But that prolly didnt reflect his postseason awards. It is what it is all I know is i have enjoyed many of Osiris' highlight dunks and entertainment. If GROWN MEN want more out of KIDS then to bad. Osiris has no ability according to most but will make more money with his lack of ability then most of you will ever see.

Haha, I make no mistake about the kids who BU has that need to mature. I am asserting O is arrogant and selfish, and I feel I have a pretty sound base of knowledge. I rarely bash any player from any team, for much of anything outside of BBall, I have largely kept my criticisms to King O's abilities and those whose glorify his skills, with my only comments otherwise are on his attitude. And FYI, I'm the same age as these guys I'm criticizing, so my frame of reference for expectations is pretty reasonable...

why is O arrogant and selfish? Please give specific examples.

There are no specific examples. Osiris is a class act. I don't even see what the rest of you are talking about. I am the same age as these kids too and Osiris is one of the classiest people out there.

As far as you not wanting him on your team amc, I guess you don't want a good team then, this kid is a superb athlete and any team would be lucky to have him. I don't even understand where you are coming from on half your arguments, they don't even make any sense because you are pulling this stuff out of nowhere.

But keep it up, it entertains me!

I really am awed by your opinions AMC...

Not saying you aren't being truthful....but I could never hate a player from my own team!

Why do you hate Dan Ruffin? jw?

I don't like OE...but I respect him...just like I respect all good, respectable players.

I know that players are a product of their environment...so I would be thrilled to have OE at BU....no matter what his criticisms by his non fan base are...

I think OE would have a different reputation at BU (from "outsiders" point of view) and I find it really hard to believe you are so certain you wouldn't be mad in love with him here....

I hated Mark Grudzielanek and Mark DeRosa....until they made a better choice...

Do you like Taylor Brown? I don't see how OE can be considered different attitude wise than OE....(if OE is truthfully so arrogant and such)

My source is my cousin who is an acquaintance of OE as they are both from the same area of Chicago and he went to ISU.

He claims OE is quiet, humble, and personable.

What have you heard otherwise?

Don't forget that Ruffin should have missed many more games...and was blessed here. If Osiris would have been in Rufs should this board would have been all over him...not supporting him.

I am sitting here reading all this hate regarding Osiris Eldridge and wondering am I missing something about this guy. Every time Ive seen him play he plays hard and does not come off as mouthy, he wore a mohawk but that is questionable appearance. But he is a straight up athlete and a very good overall basketball player.

So, I decided to look at his numbers for his last 4 years of playing basketball at ISU.

620-1505 - 41% from the field
289-354 - 75% from the line
272-741 - 36.7% from 3pt
667 rebounds - 5 per game
172 steals - 1.3 per game
1801 points - 13.8 per game

I will guarantee you if he was wearing a Bradley uniform a lot of Bradley fans would be hailing Osiris Eldridge as one of the best of all time to play at Bradley. Other then the field goal % his numbers are bigtime solid. Anyone who says they would not have welcomed that type of production for 4 years is well... lets just say his numbers speak for themselves.

And yes his teams have not won a Valley tourney or been to the NCAA, but honestly the NCAA part is not his fault his teams have had good enough records but his coach/AD have decided it was in THEIR best interest to schedule down. Maybe the scheduling down has inflated his numbers slightly but even that being said his game and production would have been welcome in Peoria.

OE got 1st team by NAME alone - not by numbers.

He was on the Par-A-Dice after the Bradley victory. Is that how he's going to make his millions?

More money then most of us...... Please!
