Bradley hires new coach- Geno Ford

I'll be hesitant. I'm not excited, but I recognize that there may be potential. I see two weak points with our new coach:

1) Unproven recruiting - Not impressed with the incoming verbals to KS
2) Sorry, but Les wears the suit better. :razz:

Not if you're under 30 and you like video games - I loved it. That's one of the best RPG games of all time and was one of the best graphically on SNES (came out right near the end of games being released).

It's great to start talking about ridiculous stuff like this again. Such a weight off everyone's shoulders ... :D

Welcome to BU Coach Ford!

I'm quite pleased with this hire, especially since I was beginning to doubt we'd get someone that's had this kind of success at this level. I'm looking forward to seeing what transpires with the coaching staff and players and as always, can't wait for the next Bradley basketball season.
 
JD -- not one person has yet said he is a liar...
but we all know there are many ways to state something so it has more than one legit meaning...

Agreed. But why do you think he would "blur" or be deceptive about the job offers here?

If he says it was the only offer, then that's fine. If he had said they offered two other guys or seven other guys...that would be fine too.

I think Ford is a solid hire, but we are a ways from truly knowing that to be fact.

I see nothing gained by Cross by not telling the truth here.

I'm both, but I didn't play Mario RPG. It was released at the end of the life of the SNES. I just saw that it was released for the virtual console. It may be time to dust off the Wii again (PS3 or PC normally for me).
 
IMHO great hire, great name!! Time to get behind him and support his efforts... I hope he can keep RA and DS,SH, and keep DSE in the fold...
 
Good hire. Glad to finally have some optimism and good cheer on bf.com again.

So what's the timeline to get RA, DS, SH, and DSE to stay on board? Does Geno give them a deadline?
 
At least one Brave we know is excited about our new coach:

One player tweeted - "Shout out to coach G!"
This same student-athlete is excited about returning to play next season. :)

Look at Kent State's last 3 recruiting classes......FILLED with higher rated recruits then we have gotten.

They lose 1 player this year apparently and that shooting guard they have coming in has a higher rating by ESPN than ANY PLAYER on our roster or coming in for 2011 received........and the JUCO hasn't been evaluated...

so what seems to be the problem?

Was thinking the same thing earlier... Didn't know why his recruiting wad questioned. His press conference even addressed that he believes getting high quality players on campus is of huge importance. If he can get those recruits to Kent State, BU with the facilities should be easier!
