Bradley vs Duke

FISTPUMP! If I knew the date, I would already schedule a day off work.

Speaking of, what does our non-con look like? I know Duke, USC, Utah, Western Carolina, and a couple preliminary games for the HOF Tournament off the top of my head.

That Utah game has me confused. I'm assuming they will still honor our game, but that is no longer apart of the MVC-MWC challenge right?

In a 5 year span, we've had:

Butler (x4)
Oklahoma St
Michigan St (x3)
Illinois (x2)
Florida
Duke
(BYU too, but that was set up for us)

Plus multiple games against BCS teams on a lesser tier (DePaul, Iowa, Iowa St)

Daggum, whatever we're doing about scheduling, keep doing it.

Great job with the scheduling BU! We could have just scheduled a whole bunch of patsies, like Illinois State and others do, but our coach, AD, and team would rather work to put together the best schedule possible.

What? No Grambling State?

Thanks to everyone involved in "pimping" us out to the "big boys". Your efforts are greatly appreciated by this Bradley fan! :D

Since we all know a lot about their returning players after watching them win it all, anyone have any good insight on their incoming freshmen?

Best news since we beat UNI back in February!

Now let's get MO on the roster (not much we can do about it, I know) and this off-season will be a great success!

2 reputable Assistant coaches on board
signing Walter Lemon
adding a couple Braves for the future (AD & JB)
adding Duke to non-conf. schedule
Getting players back to 100% health

The JW saga is no longer the main post (thankfully). Too bad he won't get the opportunity to play Duke (or a worthy non-conf. opponent!)

Great job everyone involved, and way to make a splash with the scheduling Dr. Cross. All of the sudden we've got one heck of a non-conference schedule...
I am quite sure this game has been in the works since well before Dr. Cross arrived at BU..and is largely credited to Coach Les and his relationship with those involved at Duke.

This game will be played and, yes, they are still in MWC but leaving next year.

We'll have a very experienced back court which should help this team against Duke. This is the best year since our Sweet 16 to go on the road against such a formidable opponent. I would not be surprised to see a return game in Chicago with Duke in the future. Coach K does like to play in Chicago due to recruiting.

I didn't know that Western Carolina was set. It's not on the BUBraves.com website. I hope we play them, though they lose a few productive seniors from last season - looks like our non-conf. schedule will be one of the toughest (if not THE toughest) in the Valley.

This is as beatable as Duke has been in years. Much like when we beat Kansas in the NCAA's, Duke will likely have a roster of mostly very young (albeit very talented) players. Kyle Singler I believe will be their most experienced (and clearly best) player. The rest of the guys should be relatively inexperienced. Duke will likely be way overrated, and if the rumored date holds true, the students will be gone and the place will probably only be 2/3 full. We will have as good of a shot as we'll ever have.

All we need to do is win it and the rest of the season will take care of itself... I know that's a fairly simplistic statement, but thanks for scheduling it and giving our players a chance to go to the NCAA tournament next year. Go Braves!

They do have 2 of the top freshmen in the country Kyrie Irving (who some compare to John Wall) and Josh Hairston. Some recruiting experts had Irving the #1 overall recruit, and everyone had him in ther top 10 among 2010 recruits. Hairston is also a Top 25-50 recruit.

Duke also signed a 3-star guard Tyler Thornton-

Here is their 2010 roster- The players returning next year include Seth Curry (transfer from Liberty and brother of Stephen Curry), and a couple All-American candidates in Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith. as well as the 2 Plumlee brothers-

So we can keep it under 40 then....:)
