- The Ford Center is really nice - probably the best arena I've been to in the Valley; go there and visit sometime if you get a chance.
- Evansville just can't get over the hump. I think they are better than a few teams in the Valley but they just can't get wins
- Jaquan was so unbelievably pumped up after the game. Gave him a big high five as they went to the locker room. For someone who's relatively even keel for such a great player, it was a side of him you don't see as often and it was cool.

On the Road Again: Traveling to Evansville for the Jaquan Johnson Show (Part One)

First, we look at my travels to Evansville with photos and details of the area

I've been to Evansville many times for Bradley games, going back to the years they played at the old Roberts Arena, home to the Aces from 1956-2011, and torn down in 2013, and more recently in the downtown Ford Center (2011-present). You are correct about the strange southern border between Indiana and Kentucky. Evansville has always been a river city, but now most of the old riverbanks east of the downtown area are more than a mile from the Ohio River. Repeated flooding and dry spells have shifted the river channel southward to where it is now.

As I mentioned at the end, I got a chance to give Bully a big high five (as well as AJ and Meta) as they went to the locker room. I've been near him before but somehow he seems even that much bigger this season. I loved how pumped up he was leaving the court - you don't always see that emotion from such a level headed player but you could tell this one meant a lot to him and he really carried the Braves to victory.
