Goodbye Kentucky - 1 Pretender Down

Dallas Brave

Thank you to Marquette for knocking out Kentucky ... 1 of the 3 teams that should not have have been given at-large bids. Now Arizona and Oregon need to go down.

That fouling away from the ball in the final minute by Kentucky was bush-league and should have been called intentional.

Jay Bias was practically making love to KY during the game ... they overcame sooo much adversity this year. Georgia, winner of the SEC tournament, got their heads handed to them. SEC, as a conference, very over-rated this year.

That's a good analogy Dallas! These BCS lovers just continue to embarrass themselves.

It looks like you failed your "eye test" on Kentucky Jay! You must need new glasses!

Agreed 100%.

I don't have any SEC teams making it out of the second round.

Didnt bother me a bit to see Baylor get bounced, they were also very questionable. But nothing compared to Kentucky. They got in because of the name of the school not the body of work they provided all season, regardless of Bilas and his pure bias towards anything BCS. Hope for his sake Belmont gets DukieV.

so a 6 seed beat an 11 seed...weren't they suppose to?

If you look at some of the teams you see who they beat....ISU didn't really beat anyone.....I'm not saying they should not have gone but I don't know that they were robbed either

Digger just said that Georgia essentially lost because they "ran out of gas." Digger, I've got news for you ... Xavier was, and still is, the better team.

After the way Kentucky put it all together for the SEC conference play? Oh no, Kentucky may have been the 11th seed, but they were the better team (according to the talking heads) coming into the NCAA tournament.

But the advantage of even a mediocre SEC team is that they have every other SEC team in for a game on their home floor. So naturally they will have a couple wins against good teams. Wouldn't Bradley have won several of those games if the SEC all had to make a trip to Peoria?

How many of those teams visited ISU, or would ever agree to make a visit to ISU? None. And that's why the RPI should be an important factor, because it evens out these discrepancies in schedules.

But as soon as the RPI started favoring the midmajors, suddenly the NCAA doesn't want to put much stock in it.

well they had a chance against Drake at home and on neutral court and didn't win either
