I dont blame the coaching

Wrong.

BTW - There were BSS people who meet with Glasser regularly who were talking about a new coach before the season even started if JL didn't win anything this year. You can PM me or email me if you think I am full of it, because I am not.

Yes - I think you are full of it!

I love all the time you guys waste talking about JL and his job. Do you understand nobody is listening to you? All you "Upper Bowl fans" (including Kirk Wessler) that don't even belong to the Braves Club, but try to sneak in to a pre-game party for a free beer, are wasting your time talking negative about the program. Until the BSS folks start talking about looking for a new coach, JL's job is fine. Get over yourselves. See you at the next pre-game party - If you can get in?

Do you understand that most of us on here dont really care if anyone is listening to us, we are typing and talking about this because we want too. You probably are also very naive to think that the BSS individuals are not also talking about Les and I would not be surprised if more then one might either read or post here.

And from trying to interpret your post, you are apparently listening and reacting to the posters on here, and you also seem to try to tell us you are part of this Braves Club. So, I take it you do really care what us post about on here since you took time to belittle us.

"DaCoach" understands what I'm talking about:

I am familiar with some of the riff-raff you refer to, and there are people who as highly-successful individuals and corporations have willingly donated many millions of dollars to Bradley for the improvment of campus facilities, and to allow the coaches of all the sports to recruit and stay competetive at the D1 level. And none of them ask for anything in return.
Without these riff-raff, Bradley would still be playing soccer on a high-school field, baseball would still be at old Meinen Field or down in Bradley Park, and we would be playing basketball at a Division II or more likely a Division III level, and would still be in the (now) 60+ year old Robertson Fieldhouse.

I'm not "belittling" you guys. Just don't understand? Because you type these things about JL, you think he will be heading out of town soon? He does not even ready the Urnal star, yet these websites!

Look - try to be positive about the program. JL is going nowhere, so use your passion in a way that could better the team. Coach bashing will not get it done!

What dont I understand, that money and contributions run decisions, the University and the athletic department let alone any personel decisons made in the athletic department. Do I not understand that if several highend donors were tired of Les he would be gone because they control the purse strings??

What you dont understand is no one on here cares if Les or the University reads this site let alone the newspaper. People get on here to vent frustration. Whether anyone on here is positive or negative that vibe likely is not going to carry over to a game.

I dont think anyone on here believes that by us discussing Les and his coaching will lead to his dismissial. I believe most of us are fully aware that those decision are not based on what we type on here.

And if I want to be negative all day long thats my choice and again my attitute I certainly hope is not in anyway an influence on this program. If those of us on here want to bash Les 24/7 thats our call, but I guarantee no one who bashes or is positive truely believes what is written here has any influence. It is just a form for those who care about Bradley Basketball to vent either negative or positive.

I find it a little funny that you truely believe that those of us on here who discuss Bradley Basketball actually think we have influence on this program. The only influence anyone has is in their wallet. Words on a message board do not.

Why would the BSS be disbanded? Where did that come from?

I think that T is just using that as an argument as to how successful the BSS has been for BU athletics etc... I have no problem with the BSS. Most schools utilize something of this nature for raising funds etc. The team remains accessible to fans with events throughout the year.

Very true Houston. I think that too many times, people want to shoot from the hip on issues around here and ask questions later. There is a process that needs to occur and we first need to look within before any actions are made one way or the other.

I would not want this kind of sleaze at BU.

B4L it does not have to be sleazy but every major school and yes even Duke has used the AAU circuit for recruiting and the shoe companies do control them. If we want better recruits we will need to hire someone who understands the relationships in that world. I'm not saying we should start paying these sleaze balls but we better find a way to influence that world if we want to become what most here want. That or a pipeline of players coming from somewhere else then the US. A reality in today's HS recruiting process.

I have had some conversation with this guy who runs an AAU program out in Oregon and runs a few camps out in SF during the year looking for recruits himself and he would be the first to tell you it is a dog eat dog world out there even in the Jr. High level. If someone makes his job easier I'm sure he'd be glad to help them out. Fact of life with any job! It does not have to be sleazy!

Agree.. We have to find ways to play the "game" out there while maintaining our standards. On a separate not, I personally think that it is sick that people are taking this to the junior high level!

No doubt, it's a great asset to the athletic department. But it doesn't control it. If it did, Ken Kavanagh would still have a job at BU.

People don't know what a board is for. It's to express the current sentiment of the fans. When there isn't much positive to talk about why in the world would people come on here to only post positive things? It makes no sense what some people on here ask. "Why not just stay positive?" I'll respond with a question as well "ABOUT WHAT?". What is positive about this team? We are playing BELOW what we can...I know this. Playing at home is now more of a likelihood of a loss. Why ask us to be positive when there is nothing. When we play good there are positive posts. When we play bad there are negative posts. This board is very realistic for the most part and it's IN SPITE of some other posters on here who are in lala land about everything Bradley and suddenly become very pessimistic about anything not Bradley.

Air Petey, I guess, yeah overall what one poster says isn't going to affect anything. But take a step back and look at this...you are saying what the posters on this board say don't mean anything...well it got YOU listening and you are very quick to announce your "high class" affiliations. Well maybe it has others listening too and maybe they aren't so happy and positive about the way things are going. Just saying...maybe there is a little more power to the "worthless" people that post on here who aren't as "great" as you are and other certain posters.

Congratulations your spending tons of money on a mediocre product and your happy about it.

Let's look at the facts:

A. This is a young team.
B. This team capable of being a really good team.

In our past 3-4 games we should have won - Nobody (other than SM) wants the ball! You can tell the kids everyday we need leaders who want the ball - BUT that can't be coached. I truely believe next year, we will have 3 or 4 guys that not only want the ball, they will make it in crunch time. Young teams need years like this to learn and get better. JL is not the problem.

PS - I'm not a BSS member. I have not spent tons of money. My problem is the people that spend "0" money but complain like they are somebody in the program.
