I plan on watching Ben this afternoon. Thanks for putting this information on here so we can follow

happy that you're able to watch...
I've been catching several games of each of the guys on our list... and I have to say that they are all very impressive.

Thornbrue is very unselfish - and excels in all areas - offensively & defensively. His numbers aren't as eye-popping as others,
but he's been very clutch when they needed him. He's a big part of why they are 31-2.

The three guys that are really athletic, play above the rim and are also fun to watch are Nazir Allen (power forward),
Noah Mendy (shooting guard), and Braylon Roman (point guard).
The other three guys whose seasons are done (Register, Rivers & Treacher) are all capable scorers, but their athleticism
is not on that same level and perhaps that's the reason why, even with their impressive scoring numbers, they are yet to
be getting really solid offers. Hopefully one or more of these guys are still considering Bradley.

The only comment I'll make about all the juco kids Bradley is recruiting, is that they all look good and I trust the coaches to bring in guys who will help sustain Bradley's success. But, just like any other recruits, my enthusiasm is tempered a little because it is not guaranteed that their game will translate to an effective D1 game. We've seen that with Handy Toussaint III and Goanar Biliew.
And most of us remember James "Pop" Weathers, who was a Top 75 recruit nationally by Jucorecruiting.com and a 1st team All-FCSAA pick (Florida juco system) and averaged 18.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists at State College of Florida, but didn't work out at D1. Though Pop did play a year at a D2 school, Xavier of Louisiana, and did OK (10.9 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.4 apg).

Halftime: Noah Mendy and Daytona State lead the #1 overall seed in the tournament, Howard College, 49-42.

oh... and you forgot to list Tyrone Cole-Scott on your juco flops list - lights-out scorer, sure fire one-and-done, and
then we discovered he couldn't throw a beach ball in the ocean if he was standing in the waves...

two of Ben Thornbrue's teammates at College of Southern Idaho have definite DI potential...

Ace Reiser is a 6-0 sharpshooting guard who hits high volume 3-pointers at 44% and has 80 steals!
He is a freshman but might be a qualifier... so either 2026 or 2027

and Jalen Lyn, an athletic 6-3 guard averaging 16ppg and 32.3% on 3-pointers, reminds me of Jalen Quinn..
handles the ball well - creates his own shots, but already committed to Middle Tennessee.
***************

Daytona State lost to Howard 96-75. Howard shot the lights out in the 2nd half.
Noah Mendy had 10 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 asst - his season is over now also

Halftime score
College of Southern Idaho 39 - New Mexico JC 28
Ace Reiser is hot, 4-5 from 3-pt
Thornbrue has taken only one shot, a 3-pointer and made it and has 6 rebounds

Get Ace Reiser!!! He can SHOOT! Very smart PG too - at least in this game for Ben's team.
Would fill a need for PG AND outside shooter, and I love having guys that already have played together and gel.

Ok I've seen him turn the ball over 3x tho in the last 4 min.

Ace Reiser is a good player unfortunately he is going to Idaho. Ben had a good game. Good rebounder, good defender. Great feel for the game. Coach Wardle was at the game

College of Southern Idaho advances with a 73-66 win over New Mexico Junior College.
Ben Thornbrue had 7 points and 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Ace Reiser* had 28 points on 9-14 and 6-9 from 3-point. Jalyn Lyn had 23.
They play Wednesday - see below...
(*There's one site saying Ace Reiser is committed to Idaho but I have not seen other confirmation)

Only two of our guys left playing...

Braylon Roman (offered, avg 12.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 4,6apg, 37.8% 3pt) plays Game 16, Tuesday March 24 at 8pm Central

#2 seed College of Southern Idaho (32-2) vs #10 Walters State (32-1) - LIVE STATS - Streaming on ESPN+

I watched the game between Walters State & Midland, and am impressed at how well CSI's next opponent Walters State shoots the ball. In 33 games this season, they are shooting 55.9% overall and 41.4% from 3-pt as a team. They also turn their opponents over 19 times per game!

After scoring 23 points today for College of Southern Idaho, 6'3" guard Jalen Lyn, who was committed to Middle Tennessee, announced that he is re-opening his recruitment and asking Middle Tennessee for his release.

just a comment about CSI's Ben Thornbrue...
if you watched yesterday's game against New Mexico Junior College, Ben Thornbrue's offensive stats weren't
the greatest - but he did grab 13 rebounds & had 3 blocks....
But what doesn't show as obviously in the stats is how good his defense was....

Ben is the biggest guy on the roster who plays more than 16 minutes per game so he gets assigned often to guard the opponents' biggest guys.
Yesterday- He mainly guarded their best forward, 6-9 Delang Muon, who starts every game and plays 30 min per game and is 2nd on their team in scoring, rebounding, FG% and 3-point percentage with 10.4 ppg, 5 rpg, 51.4% FG. and 33.3% 3-pt
BUT Ben held him to just 1-9, 0-6 from 3-pt & blocked three of his shots, and Moon only managed to grab 4 rebounds.
Ben also helped out with guarding their 6-10 center Ladji Coulibaly and held him below his averages as well.
Note that Ben averages a team-leading 1.43 blocks per game - compare that to Meta, who ranks 2nd in the MVC with 1.32 blocks/gm
All of this while averaging just 2 fouls per game -- I just hope this translates to excellent defense next year for the Braves.

Reminder- Normal (IL) Community High School's Braylon Roman, who holds a Bradley offer, plays today
(in fact, Braylon Roman has been offered twice by Bradley - First, in 2023 when he was in high school, then last fall while in junior college.
Overall Verbalcommits.com lists 6 schools offering him in high school- including 4 from the MVC, and 7 offers coming since playing juco ball.

Braylon Roman (offered, avg 12.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 4,6apg, 37.8% 3pt) plays Game 16, Tuesday March 24 at 8pm Central

I want to add about Ben is I thought he has a real feel for the game. His basketball IQ is very high

yes- he sees the action developing and can anticipate...abd Ben has only 32 turnovers this season...the fewest of anyone
on the team who plays more than 16 min/game.

and I am also impressed at how much Ben's teammate Ace Reiser is also amazing in his ability to see the play developing -
He's a 6-ft shooting guard that has 82 steals on the season (as many as Jaquan got this year)

Bradley recruit Braylon Roman plays later today...
...and the game just ended that determines who College of Southern Idaho plays Wednesday at 2:30pm,
Walters State from Morristown, Tennessee defeated Midland
Walters State just beat Midland 95-82. I watched & am impressed at how well CSI's next opponent Walters State shoots the ball, while
also being a fast-paced, fast-breaking team that tends to turn the ball over a lot. They were 13 of 24 (54.2%) from 3-pt today and had 35 fast break points,
but also 19 turnovers. In 33 games this season, they are shooting 55.9% overall and 41.4% from 3-pt as a team. They also turn their opponents over 19 times per game!

At 8pm tonight,
Braylon Roman (offered, avg 12.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 4,6apg, 37.8% 3pt) plays Game 16,

Dave, I like that your favorite guys are all my old favorites, too.........The Sheriff, Big Mike, JJ, The Road Runner, The Hawk
....memo to Dave Snell...please get working on a whole new set of great nicknames for next year...

NW Florida State starts their game with a technical free throw to lead 1-0 even before the tipoff, then the Vincennes
coach argued and got a technical as well...
because the Vincennes team did not know the NJCAA rules that prohibit dunking during warmups at the NJCAA Nationals!

I might add. I think Ben is perfectly capable of scoring but thats not his role on this team. Rebounding and defense plus good all around play. I think that shows he is coachable and does what it takes to help the team
