Postgame: BU 81 AP 74

This line from the Pjstar is journalism gold.... "The Austin Peay Governors performed Wednesday night at Carver Arena much like other governors in our state recently, making lots of costly mistakes and putting up a fight before being ousted in the end."

Big Thanks...

Big Thanks...

...to the Friends and Family Band.

You may have been few...but you made a big difference. Carver just isn't the same when you aren't there.

Ditto to what has been said about the officiating. It was nice to see the guys get to actually play basketball.

BU's attendance of 4472 was disappointing...the students are gone, there was very little time to publicize the game, and Austin Peay is not a well known opponent as Tulsa was last year...but
we still drew BETTER than a whole lot of games tonight....

Auburn drew only 4008 for an NIT game
Florida only drew 4350 for an NIT game
No other CBI game except Wichita drew even near as well
None of the CIT games was even close either.....so BU still drew better than almost everyone else...

Bradley always draws better than almost everyone else. That has been true of the program for 50+ years really. It's one of the fine things about the program.

Is the CIT considered to be less good than the CBI?

I was under the impression that neither the CBI nor the CIT have any prestige value and were on equal footing.

I was also under the impression that Bradley chose the CIT over the CBI.

If people have an opinion on this I would be interrested to hear it.

Neither has much prestige nationally but they are chance to play more games. If you look at it like that, its a good thing I think.

Objectively speaking, and really the RPI is as close as we can get, the CBI has better teams than the CIT. The average RPI of the 16 CBI teams is 109 while the average RPI of the 16 CIT teams is 131.
