Where it all fell apart for ISU

Just what we don't need, bulletin board material...

Are you serious? You think what's posted here is going to get ILSU anymore jacked up then they already are? If that's the case, then they are taking this so lightly that it doesn't even matter.

I see what you're saying, but I don't really think it's bulletin board material. If anyone provided bulletin board material, it was the ISU players spouting off last week about going 'undefeated' this season, and Osiris saying he hates BU. He forgets that he almost came to school here, but we didn't want to hire his HS coach. I guess maybe that is a reason to hate us...

Paris was not hired until after O's freshman year... and after Porter was fired.... and AFTER Osiris announced he would not leave ISU when Porter left... Jank basically had to re-recruit O after his freshman year... after he said he was not leaving, Jank started hiring assistant coaches... Paris was one of them...

God forbid a player actually say what the feel!!!! I am sure all BU players hate ISU, in some way or another... that is the basis of a rivarly. Dodie may be friends with Holtz and O off the court (per Dave Reynolds story), but they hate each other on the court and want to do nothing more then beat them...

Does it really matter when the bag of cash was handed to Paris? It's right out of the BCS recruiting handbook, so it doesn't surprise me. Maybe with a few more alumni donations they can cough up enough for the next Chicago superstar's father or coach (or both).

OE wasn't THAT close to coming to BU either, trust me. It was us or CU at the end. I'm glad he made the decision he did of course

I guess Dana wasn't willing to fork over the cash either.

I can feel the jealousy spewing out of you all the way in SPFLD... it will just get stronger on the way to PU tonight!

I am jealous. I wish we had 'O'. I know Les really wanted him. But, we ended up with Andrew Warren, and didn't have to pay him in high school or hire his high school coach to get him, so I am OK with that.

Springfield...wow. I spent a lifetime there one week. Uggh.

I just don't get why you have to talk about and make up things you have no idea about... once there is some proof that Paris got O to come to ISU (pretty hard since O got here a year before Paris)... let me know and I will be happy to report them to the NCAA myself

"where it all fell apart for ISU......"

#1. When they first decided to start a University.

#2. When they decided to play with the BIG boys and went D1.

:)

From the comment section on that article.....

"No matter. Redbirds, or Braves (politically incorrect mutants); you will both lose when you visit the Saluki House of Pain. "

What house of pain??? The one that has allowed 2 home losses in a row?

Pay then or pay now. You don't think he might regret that a bit? OE has led ISU to 4 wins in 5 tries vs. Creighton, most of the blowout variety and has averagged over 20 a game in those contests.

Say whatever you want and cry and whine all you want. ISU did nothing illegal or even immoral in hiring Coach Parham. It was a shrewd competitive move to get a better foothold on Chicago recruiting. Judgiing by our roster and the 3 more Chicago kids coming in next season, I'd say it has been a success.

How many players from Chi does BU have? East Suburban Catholic League doesn't count. :)

Should be a good game tonight.
