YouTube channel for old BU game videos

Well-known member
I just started a YouTube channel where I am going to be uploading BU games. Hopefully they don't get taken down for copyright, but so far so good today.

I've only got one up at the moment, the 1988 MVC Conference Finals against ISU red. It'll be a slow process converting and posting, but we'll try to get as much on there as we can over time.

If you're interested in checking it out, go to YouTube and search for the channel name Tommy Wink and look for the one with the BU logo (obviously). Subscribe and watch.

Any requests for what we post next, feel free to let me know. :)

Thanks Tommy!! I haven't watched the entire game yet, but after watching a few segments, I am reminded of just how good that 1987-88 team was, how great Hersey Hawkins was, how terrific the crowd was then, and how awful those officials back in the 1980's were. :)

How about the two Bradley mascots that year, the politically incorrect Tommy Hawk, and the really politically incorrect Brad E, Lee-

Went into YouTube and searched Bradley Men's Basketball back in March when everything got shut down and watched lots of BU basketball games including the NIT championship game. Lots of games to watch including teams that you might "hate" and love to see them lose and you can be quite entertained. :-D

New game posted, hope to have several more up this week. Just added 2006 NCAA 1st round game against Kansas.

OMG - I think I was at that game!
I was only like 12 yrs old, but my Dad took me to most BU-ISU games from 1985-1988.

Thanks so much for uploading for us loyal Braves fans!

Haha! That's awesome!

B&C and Dub deserve the thanks. The games were all recorded originally by those two and I'm just converting and uploading them. :)

I am eventually going to try to figure out how to record games off the T.V., so if anyone knows how I can do that, feel free to drop me some tips! :D

I deserve no thanks as I am but the legal custodian of a gifted collection...
However, I do agree we need to figure out how to capture current games because we have some historic wins coming up that need to be memorialized.

One game we do not have (that we need very much) is the historic win in Spring 2019 that earned us a MVC tournament championship, as well as the great competitive game we gave to Michigan State the week following.

Anybody got those?

Those would be good gets.

2009 Las Vegas Invitational vs. Illinois Fighting Illini is now posted and up.

BU was down 5 with 2:10 left but Will Egolf made back to back baskets to cut it to 1 with 1:00 left. Andrew Warren made a go ahead 3 with :35 seconds left to BU up by 2. The Illini missed a wide open 3 and the front end of 1 and 1 and then "Big Shot" Sam came through with 4 straight FT's in the last 20 seconds to help seal the deal! Warren led BU with 16, 4-8 from 3. Maniscalco was 9-9 from the FT line. Thanks Tommy for the channel to get me pumped up for the game tonight!

HAHA! You are the BEST at pumping everyone else up, Jimmy!

And this game, I was at the Civic Center watching it on tv with a group of BU fans. Any chance anyone else was there that day? That was really fun and exciting!

I do what I can Tommy! Just remembered there was a guy I know who went to that game in Vegas and won a couple grand. Just got done watching the Illinois/Arizona elite 8 game from the 04-05 season. Down 14 with 3:30 left and down 8 with 1:03 left the Illini came all the way back to tie it and then win it in overtime. That team was special. They only had 7 games out of 39 that were decided in single digits. If Scott May wasn't allowed to use his girth the Illini would have won the championship that year.

The officiating was so bad in that game. They had Augustin pretty much fouled out in the first half while May played like a football player the whole game. I was so upset over that. That team was a lot of fun to watch and that Arizona game is one of the most unbelievable college comebacks of all time. Also, do you remember how they spanked #1 ranked Wake Forest at the beginning of the year that year? My goodness that was a display of perfection on the basketball court that day.
