2026 Portal transfers

Xavier has Big East NIL money, SIU doesn't. Rolyns Aligbe had a pretty good season, much better than his more highly rated brother, Prince.
He averaged 9.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg (2nd in the MVC), and he was one of SIU's better three point shooters.
6'9" guys with skills and 2 years left are in demand.

A couple more MVC players entering the transfer portal today-
6'11" Isaiah Carr of Drake. He averaged 3.7 ppg almost exclusively off the bench. He's a redshirt-senior with 1 year of eligibility left.

6'3" Javon Jackson- Murray State's leading scorer (16.5 ppg). He has played 4 full college seasons, so does not appear to have any more eligibility. But like a lot of players with no more eligibility, it doesn't hurt to enter the portal, just in case the NCAA changes the rule and adds a 5th year of eligibility. But entering the portal, he can still find somewhere to play another year, even if Murray State has all their scholarsdhips or NIL committed.

ISU's Jack Daugherty, coming off a horrible sophomore-slump year, entered the portal and has landed
at NIU (nice graphic, Jack)
Daugherty was always a little of a thorn in Bradley's side... many will recall how he scorched the nets going 7-10
from the 3-point arc (while the rest of the team combined for 4-21) and he somewhat singlehandedly
won the game for ISU in his freshman year - LINK

also, UNI's Trey Campbell & Max Weisbrod just went to the portal, although Campbell would appear to have no eligibility left unless the NCAA grants everyone an extra year

With only 3 days left until the Transfer Portal closes, there are 2300-2400 players who have entered (numbers according to the web tracker "Verbal Commits"). Players whose coaches left/fired or grad transfers can still enter beyond the official closure on April 21.
Last year there were almost 2700 portal entrants.

Max Weisbrod is also a senior and has no eligibility left. They are clearly just entering the portal with hopes the NCAA passes a new 5-year eligibility rule.

SIU's Drew Steffe to Buffalo- odd step down to a team that was 7-11, tied for 7th in the MAC & 75 spots lower in NET than SIU.
He was a 4-Star P-4 recruit in high school and projected to be a starter (at Texas Tech) as a freshman.
Instead, he never played there then transferred to SIU. In 2 yrs at SIU he avg 8 ppg, 3 rpg, 33% 3-pt shooting.

He did not play well against Bradley....could be why he wanted desperately to get out of the Valley... ;)
In Carbondale he was 3-15, 4 pts, 2 reb
In Peoria he was 2-9, 5 pts, 2 reb

Murray State's Tristian Ford is entering the portal

He was recruited and offered by Bradley ...
Tristian Ford commits to Dayton- Bradley had recruited and offered him out of high school. But Bradley doesn't appear to be
targeting another inexperienced point guard.....so I suspect he wasn't re-offered.
he's 6-3, 164 lb guard, redshirted and did not play in 2025-26
He went on Murray State's high scoring Bahamas summer tour, and in game-1 had 4 pts, 1 reb
In game-2 he had 5 pts, 3 reb, and in game-3 he had 4 pts.
In October- in their preseason exhibition against Northern State he again had 4 pts, 2 asst, then redshirted & did play the rest of the season
