Donivine Stewart commits to BU

Then why would he even bother to commit? :?: That may have been true when they were rivals but I would doubt that holds true today. It just doen't make any sense.

People don't need to be friends to play well together. This is a non-issue. Heck, competition is a good thing. I hope they want to beat each other's @ss in practice...and then take that fire onto the court against Valley opponents.

I don't think one player would stop someone from committing? would it?

Yeah whatever it is...I hope it turns into a competition to make both better!

You know, thinking about this, if it is a quote, coaching stability is probably something that was important to Stewart. If we beat out principally WVU and DePaul, that didn't really need much selling.

He probably sees the fact that Huggins has been 3 different places in 4 years and well, DePaul doesn't even have a coach right now and would be essentially having to start its recruitment all over.

Huggins is not leaving WVU for anyone. He is where he wants to be so you comment really does not hold.

Word on the street is....DSE and DS don't get along...at all.

Sometime rivals in one stage of your life does not mean you cannot become friends in another.

I doubt anyone KNOWS what's going to happen in 4 years...but at least it solidifies the argument that Coach Les' job is not in jeopardy
which will cause anguish to some I am sure...;)

Great signing by BU if DS can become a (or the) top MVC PG

All the anguish for some disappears if BU starts winning more often...;)

Some of the 'some' referred to just care about better results...nothing personal about JL. Some of the 'some' have less patience than others in waiting for this to happen at BU.

Hopefully JL can now deliver more wins with better, more experienced, talent. And don't forget that new on campus practice facility!

Does anyone know exactly how tall this kid is? He looks like he is about 5'8 on that video.

I walked next to him one day. I am 5' 9 1/2" and I remember thinking how small he was about my size maybe a little taller. I didn't ask him to stand back to back. But he is short. He has a knack to drive inside and get shots off though. He will be fine.

That is the Associated Press All-State team, and it always seems to favor the Chicago area players, and the teams that go far into the playoffs. I think just about every first teamer on that 3A All State team was from schools that made it to the Elite 8.
The IBCA All-State team (not announced yet) is better at recognizing downstate kids.

I am glad to hear this, I really like JL and think this program looks to be on the rise, we would have been more nationally recognized already had we got a couple breaks the last few years. If we get a few breaks the next couple years, I think things look good.
