Mens BB game in new facility

I don't have time to read 4 pages of post so not sure what has been typed prior to this...... I hope we all agree we should have been told of this proposal BEFORE we purchased our 2010-11 season ticket package. I would have still bought the season package, but we should have been told of the plans prior to the purchase.

I'm not sure when you purchased your 2010-11 season ticket package, but this news was released three months ago.

I must have missed the news before I received the ticket package. I sent ticket payment as soon as I received.. then heard the news after. If I heard the news late = MY BAD!!

there's really no "news" only talk and speculation...but don't let that stop you if you want to join in and have a melt-down...(just kidding) ;)

I'm positive there was a press release dated May 19. I believe that's more than "talk and speculation".

From the BU press release.....

"In addition, the men's basketball team will host one of its two preseason exhibition games and all potential home games in campus-site postseason tournaments on campus."

sg-- that statement you quoted does not refer to a single game that's part of the season ticket package...as one exhibition and all post-season games were outside of the season ticket package...
read Petey's post -- his concern is with a REGULAR season game that would have been part of the expected season ticket package..and my response was to that...

I would hope that they would have made it clear in your direct communication through the application that there may have been changes from the usual. Otherwise that is not fair.

Ok......here's a quote from the same press release, 3 months ago, that does refer to what he's concerned about......

"The Braves also are considering hosting at least one regular-season game in the new arena during the 2010-11 season."

I have stressed all along...the key word..."considering"

And I've said numerous times that I have slightly less problem with a "lesser" regular season game at the new arena (providing there are plenty of home games on the schedule) than I do with playing ALL postseason games in an arena with a capacity of 4,200.

This may have been brought up before but doesn't BU have a contract w/ the CC to play "ALL" regular season games @ the Civic Center?
