What's up with Mo?

I can understand why BU can't talk about MO while recruiting him. Perhaps our crackerjack PJS sports reporters can dig into the MO story and let us know what the heck is going on with MO and his desire to play college basketball in the US, particularly at BU.

What's Flash's opinion about the MO situation, or, AD's potential for BU?

I'd volunteer to go to the Canary Islands and interview the kid.

How is he being any more fair or objective than anyone else. He said we're not producing high NBA picks when in fact, BU has produced the only lottery pick in the MVC (That I recall) since, well, BU produced the last lottery pick two decades ago.

Say you agree with him, not insinuate that he's more fair or objective than anyone else.

I just thanked him for being fair and objective. I never mentioned anyone else.

It's good to know I can be gone fishing for a week and still find everything is 100% the same here as when I left it.

Good to see things stay the same!

:-D

Once again, how is he any more fair or objective than the rest of us? I don't think you can point to an instance where he is, other than the fact he agrees with your opinions, and to you that is fair and objective. Though many of his statements, such as saying we don't produce high-pick NBA players, are clearly not objective when taken in context.

Stop being fair and objective wizard.

Really? First he asks where our high-draft picks are and then basically claims the one we had was undeserving. Which is it? Do you want high-draft picks or do you not? BTW.....where can I find the "high draft picks" in the Valley? I think I already know the answer.......we don't care about the other teams.

Talk about thinking alike...

AMCKILLIP--- Your pseudo intellectual and misguided analysis of a very straight-forward and clear-cut statement of opinion is truly ridiculous. I suggest you climb down from your ivory tower and read what has been said without trying to dissect and over-analyse an opinion you disagree with.

My only mistake was using the phrase"HIGH" NBA Draft Pick. I should have said "NBA draft Pick".

As for the relative importance of the NBA draft to collegiate BB programs, the draft is probably the best measure of NCAA talent and the strength of recruiting classes. My point is that other than POB, Bradleys talent level in recent years hasn't been very highly regarded by the NBA because while we have some good players, we don't have great ones---YET! Our mediocre MVC performance reflects this.

True wizard. But have the other Valley teams been any better at getting players drafted? I would argue that the entire league is relegated to second-rate or under-the-radar type players who stand little chance of getting drafted. It's truly an exception when a Valley team finds and develops a diamond in the rough.

I think many Valley teams have relatively comparable levels of talent and that it is coaching and team chemistry that generally determines which team performs best and most consistently (and I know that leads to a whole other thread about coaching;) ).

I bet there are a few NBA teams that would not consider POB a diamond in the rough now, but rather would say he was like throwing snake-eyes on a couple million dollar rolls:-P But I am very happy for him in making the right decision in getting the money when it was there:D Hell, I will be the first to by his cook book and stand in line at BU to get it autographed;-)

Alright, you and your Ivory Tower BS can get over yourself, its a discussion board. If you don't want/can't handle someone disagreeing with you, go write your posts in MS Word. Your statement is asinine. How the h$ll is the NBA draft the best measure for a recruiting class? How many players are gonna go in the draft from UNI this year? Or last year? Or Drake the year before that? How many NBA'ers did George Mason have the year they went to Final Four? Butlers will have ONE, but UK wil have 5, who did better?

Your entire argument is groundless, especially for mid-majors. "Other than POB?" How many lottery picks does a mid-major coach have to have to get a positive in the recruiting category, because Dana has zero, Todd Lickliter had zero, Thad Matta had zero, Matt Painter had zero.

So, please in a 'fair and objective' manner backed by examples and facts, show me one mid-major who we can judge their recruiting classes based on draft picks that is not under NCAA scrutiny.

Butler, Gonzaga and Xavier. That though is about it.
